Last weekend Abigail Smith, Jacob Lilly, and Kenna Prope went to City and State for archery. Smith says city was a normal tournament the only change was the trophy gets the winning teams names engraved! ¨sadly we got second so we didn’t get our name in the trophy but it was still a very good tournament.¨ Abigail Smith got 4th, Jacob got 5th in the city along with Kenna.
¨State was very good. We shot on Friday, I’m pretty sure our 3d team got 35th in the state” says Abigail. ¨On Saturday Jacob Lilly shot bullseye and got the highest score for our team which was a 287 and even though it was a good tournament we are really working for regions!¨ We ask Abigail about how she feels about her accomplishments and she says ¨I’m really proud of myself for how far i have come but i am pushing myself to go further. ¨
What do you focus on as a team? Abigail answers: I think having a balance of both fun and seriousness. cause with the basics of archery ,yes it is still a sport but it is also a family and i make sure people have fun with each other and work with each other through it .¨
