The Frederick Douglass girls basketball team has had an outstanding season this year. After their recent game at Rupp Arena, they have secured their spot at state in the final four. This is an amazing accomplishment.
¨Of course, we would have liked to make it to the championship and win it all- but overall, making it to the final four is quite an accomplishment. We are a young team, so we look forward to next season going even further.¨ Says Katie Pippin, the Coach.
This is the farthest the girls basketball team has ever gone, so it is important to show our support. This is also the most wins in a season.
¨Our team played a great team basketball this year. I owe a lot of our success to that- and the hard work they put in. They shared the ball well, loved on each other, and played hard for each other.¨
