School started on August 13th this year. Some students love and adore school, but for others, they could care less about it and despise school.
Unfortunately, this is nothing new when a new school year starts up.
“School is really stressful at times, and we deserve a break, you know?” said Kojo Agayare, sophomore.
“I definitely also feel like students do struggle with school, and it always doesn’t have to be this way. There could be a resolution or a better approach.”
Students felt like school could be a more enjoyable place for everyone. We just need to put in the work to reach this goal.
“For some it can be the best times of their life, and for others, it can be a nightmare. Extroverts love it, introverts hate it,” said Mrs. Vincent, English teacher. “If you don’t like school, I feel like the environment is going to impact you significantly.”
“We can always do better, of course, and sometimes, it depends on the students reaching out and speaking up for themselves as well.” said Vincent.
Teachers have made it clear that they are here to support students as well during their time here at the school.
And luckily, we now have a new Green Bandanna program. If you need someone to talk to, you can talk to someone with a green bandanna on their backpack about anything.
If you need anyone to talk to, you can talk to them about it. Even if you just can’t get the words out to signal what’s wrong, the simplest question, “Can you guide me to a counselor’s office?”, can definitely help both you and the student.
You are not alone.
