The Douglass Girls Soccer team has made it to District finals! Tonight, they take on the Henry Clay Blue Devils in hopes to continue their battle to State!
So far, they have had an impressive season with a 17-4 record. They have had to overcome many obstacles, but still continue to stay strong!
That commitment to unity has been the team’s driving force. The motto is simple: there’s no “I” in team—especially not at Douglass.
For Dulaney, preparation goes beyond the field. “The biggest part of my success is my parents and their support, as well as my faith. I pray before every game and always have a verse of the day. That’s made a big impact on my confidence,” she said.
Confidence and calm are key for game day.
“My preparation is about staying composed and trusting that this team is good enough—we have what it takes to win,” Dulaney added.
With that mindset, the Douglass girls’ soccer team continues to prove that teamwork, faith, and determination are a winning combination.
Good luck, and let’s take home that win!
