Eckert’s Orchard is a Pumpkin Patch located in Versailles. It has a deep history going back to the 1800s! It has many activities to keep your day full of fall fun from bonfires to pig races they’ve got you covered. It can entertain anyone that is any age. It has many fun things like slides and rides for little kids. For the older ones there is a corn maze and a wide range of pickings. A fun part of the orchard is you can book a bonfire and bring your own food. Don’t forget to stop by the country store and pick out special fall treats before it’s over!
If you’re looking for a fall pick me up, look no further than Martine’s Pastries, a quaint cafe and cake shop in downtown Lexington. Martines is known for their wedding cakes but they also have a retail pastry shop where they offer a hearty breakfast sandwich to a delectable cannoli or slice of cake. Martines has a cozy and nostalgic feel and it will be a surefire choice for a fun town outing.
If you want to add a bit of diversity to your grocery haul you can go to one of the four farmer markets in Lexington. Farmer markets give you an opportunity to support local businesses and have an artisan treat or fresh farm to table vegetables and fruits. Farmer markets aren’t just for groceries as they also have a lot of non-food vendors that sell unique crafts and other items. If you have a free weekend during the fall this is a fun and unique outings sure to make some fall memories.
If you’re looking for a fun fall outing then Raven Run is a great place to go. With over 734 acres of nature sanctuary it has beautiful scenery and fun trails. If you aren’t interested in going on hikes then you can go to an amateur stargazer’s event or do pumpkin carving.
