This past week, Mrs. Cope won the PBIS Goat award here at Douglass! PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.
This award goes to the staff member who goes above and beyond, positively impacting students. Staff at Douglass vote for the faculty member they think deserves the award. Staff may nominate other staff members that they think exemplifies PBIS standard. Once nominations end, the staff votes for a winner.
Staff member, Wendi Rogers nominated Erin Cope, she says, “ Erin is the glue that keeps our team together and makes us the best in the district. Her work is often duplicated by other high schools when they need a template for something they want to initiate at their schools.
She presented to the full Board of Education on 10.14 about the Counseling Program and the many things we do to make students the center of our work. She received praise from the Director of High schools who reached out to our entire admin team. She is definitely the GOAT!”
