The acts of artificial intelligence have made good and bad impacts for the world over the years, but the question is, which factors outweigh the others?
AI became an idea way earlier than most people think, in 1942, mathematicians and philosophers came together, they researched the ways of technology and studied the brain to begin the development of artificial intelligence.
By the early 2000s, the idea took off and artificial intelligence was worldwide, many people didn’t pick up on the issues of this until some AI bots started to have breakdown moments such as speaking a different language or seeming violent.
The people’s main issue with AI is how it’s taking part in humans’ jobs, therefore causing lack of jobs. Some say this has become a problem, and that it will only get worse in the future, and that no jobs would be left for humans, affecting the economy.
Another huge problem with AI is that its ideas of the bots tend to be unoriginal, it is known that a lot of AI bots mirror the humans abilities to solve problems and come up with “unique” ideas. This also comes with AI bots lacking emotion, which makes it difficult to relate to humans and work with them.
However, AI is always available. When AI bots take on a job, they can work for days at a time with little to no struggle. Because of this, some say it is good that artificial intelligence takes place in jobs as it can improve companies by having 24/7 assistance.
Artificial intelligence can serve in many different ways, such as different apps such as ChatGPT, Alexa, and Grammarly. AI has many purposes, which is one of the main factors that makes AI appreciated and very popular worldwide.
Many discoveries and improvements still need to be made towards AI, so only time will tell if the overall invention was for the worse or for the better.
