Tryouts for men’s volleyball begin Monday. The men’s volleyball team was technically a club until this year but they continued to play other teams and have matches. All of the varsity starters are locked in but if you are trying out there are two days of tryouts. After the first day they will tell you if you made it to round two and then you find out if you made the team.
The men’s volleyball team is a great community. Everyone carpools to matches and they stop at restaurants and eat together and the whole team consists of very friendly social people who genuinely enjoy the sport. The best advice for if you are trying out for the team is to just try your best and be very respectful to the coach.
The boys volleyball team is an amazing example of what Frederick Dougass athletics represents, hard work, community, and a true love of a sport.
