Spring is right around the corner and the FDHS Band is selling flowers as a fundraiser for next year’s season and new equipment!
“The FDHS Band is experiencing growth for this coming school year,” says Mr. Skaggs, FDHS Band Director. “We are in need of new instruments, uniforms (both marching band and concert band), new music, sound equipment, and many other day-to-day things. Your purchase will help us with this!”
The flowers are Kentucky Proud Products from Bi-Water Farm in Georgetown! Each basket is $25 and you will have the choice of: Begonia-Green and Begonia-Bronze leaves, Impatiens, Petunias, Vinca, Dragon-Wings, Boston Ferns, Ivy Geraniums, Million Bells, and mixed baskets.
Mr. Skaggs highly suggests that the Dragon-Wings flower basket will be the best flower to stay up for a while.
Flowers can be ordered through March 28th, and delivery will be in the last week of April.
If you would like to further support the band, Mr. Skaggs also mentioned a band concert being next Monday at EKU where they be graded and judged for their performance, as well as a concert at the school where they will be performing in front of the student body!
Support the band team by buying flowers!
