Mr. Scroggin, Business teacher, dyed his hair pink after losing a bet with students.
In the month of October, Mr. Scroggin made a bet with his students to sell 205 pink shirts to help raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The bet was that if they could reach their goal, he would dye his hair pink, and students jumped at the opportunity!
“We wanted to sell 205 shirts, and we sold 205!” says Scroggin.
In addition to dying his hair with the money they raised with the shirts, they were able to raise $475 to donate to Susan G. Komen and donate $410 to FBLA.
“We were raising money and raising awareness for the cause. We were able to raise $475 for Susan G Komen,” says Scroggin, “We were also able to give $410 to FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America).”
Scroggin’s wife was also super supportive of the decision, as long as it was normal by Thanksgiving!
Good job to Mr. Scroggin’s class for raising so much money for a good cause!
