This past Saturday, the Beta Club hosted “Breakfast with Santa” as both a community engagement event and as a fundraiser for Dance Blue.
“We host breakfast with Santa and breakfast with the bunny at Easter. To help fundraise for Dance Blue here at Frederick Douglass, “said Mr. Hollenbach, Beta Club co-sponsor. “So all the money that we raise in our fundraiser, we contribute to cancer research through Fredrick Douglass’s Dance Blue.”
Activities included eating pancakes, arts and crafts where they make slime, and decorate ornaments at Christmas Student.
The event was geared towards the smaller children, but even the older kids had fun too!
“The event went really well. We had a lot of parents and children come, and overall it was a lot of fun.” said Addsion Ricks.
