Our Club of the Month, Dance Blue, is hard at work raising funds for kids battling childhood cancer. The club’s mission is crucial to supporting pediatric cancer research and patient care.
The runner of Dance Blue, Mrs. Bersaligia, states,” Dance Blue is a student-run organization whose mission is to raise money to donate to the Golden Matrix Fund at the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital. The money is used to support pediatric cancer patients and their families as they fight their battle. The students that work so hard for Douglass Dance Blue are so dedicated and loyal to our cause and are a very close-knit group. The goal and drive that they all have to fight until the battle is won is so very inspiring. “
This is a very good representation of Dance Blue and the purpose of it.
To reach their goal before the Dance Blue Mini Marathon, they are running several exciting fundraisers right now:
Silent Auction: Bidding is underway for great items donated by the community, with all proceeds going directly to the clinic.
Calendar Donations: Support the cause year-round by purchasing a calendar, a simple way to donate and show your commitment.
Letters to Santa: A heartwarming holiday campaign where donations are made for every letter written to Santa, bringing joy and support to the patients.
Sadies: A formal dance where people can come together, and all the money made goes to the research and cause.
Get involved today to help Dance Blue stand up for the children fighting cancer!
